The 2016 Gulf Coast Clay Conference had a lecture and slide show, workshops with demonstrations and a vendor hall with products for clay arts on display and in demonstration.

Tom and Elaine Coleman (Tom in video right) will visit and give a lecture with a slideshow Wednesday evening at PSC (Location 1 above).

The Colemans will continue with the workshop and demonstrations on Thursday and Friday.

Tom and Elaine Coleman are considered to be two of the greatest potters in America. Their relevance to the field of ceramics can be confirmed by the many artists whom their work has inspired. Tom Coleman has written many books on pottery and articles for many pottery magazines. Elaine is renown for her ceramic carving. Please click for more info about Elaine's carving workshop 1:00 PM Friday at the conference.

With work in many public and private collections, including the Smithsonian Museum, they have received many awards and honors in the US and abroad. Tom’s true love of clay, glazes, and the process of finishing his pieces have helped him to stay just as excited about his art as he was when he started over 45 years ago. Please view their website, TomandElaineColemanGallery.com for more information about both artists including pictures of their pottery, their teaching and workshops experience.
